What Are Honkai Star Rail Banners Anyway?

Before we start pulling, let’s talk basics. In Honkai: Star Rail, banners are limited-time events where you spend Star Rail Passes or Special Star Rail Passes to summon characters or Light Cones (aka weapons). There are three main types of banners:

• Limited Character Banners: One boosted 5-Star and three boosted 4-Star characters.
• Limited Light Cone Banners: One or more 5-Star Light Cones and a few 4-Star ones.
• Permanent Banners: Always available, with a big ol’ mix of 5-Star and 4-Star content.

Each limited banner usually sticks around for three weeks, so you’ve gotta stay sharp and plan your pulls wisely.

Current Character Event Banners (April 2025)

This month, the banners are stacked with Phase 1 of Version 3.2, running until Wednesday, April 30th, 2025. We’ve got one new 5-Star and three returning legends, all bringing the heat to the warp pool.

1. Blossom to the Beyond Banner:

• Castorice (5-Star Quantum, The Remembrance) – The headliner for this banner, Castorice is a stylish Quantum attacker. If you’re a fan of the Remembrance path or want a unit that dances around the field dishing out serious damage, she’s your gal.

Indelible Coterie Banner:

This rerun banner has not one, but three powerful 5-Stars in rotation:

• Acheron (5-Star Lightning, The Nihility) – The edgy queen of lightning returns.
• Jiaoqiu (5-Star Fire, The Nihility) – Debuffs, dots, and flames? Yes, please.
• Fugue (5-Star Fire, The Nihility) – Another fire-based threat, focused on high-utility Nihility playstyles.

3. Boosted 4-Star Characters on Both Banners:

• Pela (Ice, The Nihility)
• Lynx (Quantum, The Abundance)
• Gallagher (Fire, The Abundance)

Current Light Cone Banners (April 2025)

Character banners are only half the story–your shiny new 5-Stars need signature weapons, and April 2025’s Light Cone banners have some serious options.

These run alongside the character banners and also end on April 30th, 2025.

1. Brilliant Fixation Banner:

• Make Farewells More Beautiful (5-Star, Remembrance) – This is Castorice’s signature Light Cone, built to synergize perfectly with her kit.

2. Coalesced Truths Banner:

This one’s for the rerun trio:

• Along the Passing Shore (Acheron’s)
• Those Many Springs (Jiaoqiu’s)
• Long Road Leads Home (Fugue’s)

All of these are 5-Star Nihility path Light Cones, making them excellent if you’re going full debuff meta.

3. Boosted 4-Star Light Cones:

• Good Night and Sleep Well (Nihility)
• Post-Op Conversation (Abundance)
• Boundless Choreo (Nihility)

Let’s break down everything you need to know about the Honkai Star Rail next banners, including character and Light Cone banners for early May 2025.

Next Character Event Banners (May 2025 – Phase 2 of 3.2)

Starting around April 30th and running into May, we’ve got a mix of fresh blood and familiar faces. Let’s meet the stars of the upcoming banners:

1. The Universe in a Seed (Anaxa Banner)

• 5-Star:Anaxa
  • Type: Wind
  • Path: The Erudition
  • Role: AoE attacker
  • Status: New Character

Anaxa is making his debut, and if early leaks and drip marketing are anything to go by, this dude is all about flashy animations, sweeping Wind AoE attacks, and stylish destruction.

Perfect if you’re building an Erudition squad or just love clean DPS rotations.

2. Panta Rhei (Dr. Ratio Banner)

• 5-Star: Dr. Ratio
  • Type: Imaginary
  • Path: The Hunt
  • Status: Returning Character

Dr. Ratio is back, and honestly? He’s still a beast. If you missed him during his first run–or just want to double down on Imaginary teams–now’s your chance to grab the big-brain scientist again.

1. Brilliant Fixation Light Cone Banner

This banner’s got two 5-Star highlights that match the characters above:

• Life Should Be Cast to Flames – Anaxa’s signature Light Cone
  • Path: The Erudition
  • Bonus: Big AoE damage boost and energy regen synergy
• Baptism of Pure Thought – Dr. Ratio’s signature Light Cone
  • Path: The Hunt
  • Bonus: Buffs single-target damage, ideal for boss fights and elites

2. Boosted 4-Star Light Cones:

• Trend of the Universal Market (Preservation)
• After the Charmony Fall (Erudition)
• The Moles Welcome You (Destruction)

Even the 4-Stars this time around have nice synergy depending on the path you’re building.

When Do the Next Banners Start?

Barring any surprises, these banners are expected to begin right after April 30th, sliding in as Phase 2 of Version 3.2, so you can start pulling on April 30 or May 1st, depending on your server time.

Each event cycle usually lasts three weeks, so expect these to run until around May 20th before Version 3.3 kicks off.

Version 3.3 (Upcoming)

Version 3.3 of Honkai: Star Rail brings two exciting new 5★ units, Hyacine and Cipher, confirmed through official drip marketing.

While their kits are still under wraps, the banner dates and paths are now available.

You don’t need to keep your eyes on the event calendar to spend your Star Rail Passes. Honkai: Star Rail’s got two always-on banners that are perfect for new players or casual pulls between events.

1. Departure Warp Banner

This one’s your starter banner. It disappears once you’ve used it 50 times, so make it count.

• Perks:
  • Guaranteed 1x 5-Star character within 50 pulls
  • 10-pull discount (10 Warps for the price of 8)
• 5-Star characters available:
  • Bailu, Bronya, Clara, Gepard, Himeko, Welt, Yanqing
• 4-Star characters in the pool:
  • March 7th, Natasha, Asta, Sushang, Tingyun, Dan Heng, and more

If you’re new to the game, this is where you start pulling. It’s a value buffet of decent characters.

2. Stellar Warp Banner (Regular Banner)

This is your long-term banner, and honestly, a bit of a wildcard.

• Uses standard Star Rail Passes
• Guaranteed 4-Star (or better) every 10 pulls
• Guaranteed 1x 5-Star of your choice every 300 pulls

5-Star characters:

• Bailu, Bronya, Clara, Gepard, Himeko, Welt, Yanqing

Tons of 4-Stars, like:
