Persona5: The Phantom X (P5X) is a free-to-play urban fantasy RPG set within the universe of Persona5. P5X officially launched for PC, Android, and iOS. This spin-off adventure introduces a brand-new story of a new protagonist, codenamed "Wonder," and a new cast of Phantom Thieves. Developed by Black Wings Game Studio under the close supervision of SEGA and ATLUS, P5X faithfully recreates the series' signature formula: players live the dual life of a high school student in modern-day Tokyo, building relationships and social stats by day, while infiltrating the metaphysical "Metaverse" to steal the hearts of the corrupt by night. The game features the classic turn-based combat system and stylish visuals fans love, now adapted into a live-service gacha model where players can collect both new and familiar faces, including cognitive versions of the original Phantom Thieves.

The gacha system in Persona5: The Phantom X, known as "Contracts," is the method for acquiring new characters and character-specific weapons.
